I'm a 40-year-old Stay at stay-at-home mom from Wilmore, Ky. My husband and I have been married for 17 years, and we have two kids 13m, and 9f. I enjoy card making, paper crafting, and various DIY projects.
In March 2021, I bought my first Cricut machine (Cricut Explore Air 2). I knew I wanted to start easy by making stickers, so I bought the Procreate app for my iPad and started drawing.
I got the hang of using my Cricut and started making stickers. (I mean a lot of stickers.) I also decided to open an Etsy shop to try and sell them. I don't sell many, but I enjoy the creative thought process it takes to create them.
I enjoyed creating new things, so I scoured the internet and found resin art. I bought this kit and everything that I thought I needed. I was soon creating decision coins and selling them on my Etsy shop.
I started my TikTok journey in June 2022 and made a corner of my bedroom my workspace. I also enjoy creating videos and editing them to show people how I make things. Go check out my TikTok to see some of the various things I've made.
My husband and I were at Hobby Lobby one day and found a Sizzix Side Kick kit for sale for $15. At the time I didn't know what it was, but the hubby talked me into buying it. After we got home, I started researching what it was for. I found a TikTok about card making and quickly fell down the rabbit hole. I then saved up my money and ran out to buy the Sizzix Big Shot, along with dies, stamps, and anything else that looked cool.
I am not one to practice something before I make the final project, so I just jumped in head first. I made my first card (a Christmas card) for my mom in December 2022. Followed by another Christmas card for my in-laws.
